Brooklands Museum will be holding a special event on12th September to celebrate the life of Sir Stirling Moss.
On show will be dozens of the wide variety of cars that Moss has driven in his legendary career, including his 1954 OSCA, 1959 Cooper Monaco, 1961 Ferrari 250GT and the Rob Walker Racing Lotus 18 in which he was victorious at the 1961 Monaco Grand Prix. There will also be live demonstration runs on the finishing straight providing a unique experience to see the cars in action, albeit somewhat slower!
In the atmosphere of a 1950s style paddock, there will also be displays of Moss’ race and rally cars, as well as a wide selection of other classic cars from the era. Brooklands has arranged some live 1960s music and the museum will be open to explore.
Interestingly, and as many will know, Stirling Moss was the first Brooklands Trust Members President.
